1) What is the difference between Signature Closets of the Low Country and the competition?

We are the only local, family-owned custom closet and cabinet business in the Hilton Head area. While the competition may advertise in local publications or have a showroom in the area, their home bases and manufacturing takes place well outside the Lowcountry.

We don’t just send out a salesperson to design the job, then send that information to yet another group of people to manufacture, and then off to a separate installation crew. When you work with us, you will have a direct connection to the same small group of people from the initial design consultation all the way through to installation.

2). Why work with a smaller, locally-based team?

There is no middleman with us. When you decide Signature Closets is the right choice for you, one of our owners will come to you to design & measure your project. Frank Corn oversees all of the factory production himself and will be present at installation to ensure a seamless, mistake-free process.

3) But aren’t all closet systems the same? Why should I choose yours?

Definitely not! Our systems are not modular (limited to specific sizes) the way the competition’s often is. We will fully customize a storage solution to fit any space and make the most of every inch.

Not only do we have a fully hands-on process, you can feel confident that your new storage system isn’t going anywhere. Unlike many of our competitors’, our storage systems don't hang on the wall. They offer superior stability by being loaded to the floor like furniture.

4) Does Signature Closets offer real wood and paint finishes?

Yes! We often use walnut or other wood species for countertops in closets, pantries or home offices. We are happy to work with you if you have a particular preference.

As for paint finishes, the options are limitless. We can match any paint color: from Pantone to Benjamin Moore. What’s more, you can visit us in our shop on Hilton Head Island during this part of the process to ensure you are happy with the result prior to installation.

Whether we paint or stain, everything is lacquer-based with several coats of furniture-grade lacquer for a truly professional finish.

5) Just how customizable are your offerings?

100%! We can fully customize any storage system with columns, a variety of crown moulding, latticework & other unique possibilities that you may never have thought possible. We’ll work with you to ensure every last detail meets your organizational dreams.

6) Are there any ‘extras’ that are unique to Signature Closets of the Low country?

We go well beyond basic closets and cabinetry. We also offer TV lift-up cabinets, custom wine systems, any style or type of glass insert for doors, unlimited knob or pull options, and whatever glazes, Venetian plaster, or unique metallic finishes you may wish to see in your home. The possibilities are truly endless when you work with us!
